CARTOON MILL project’s main activity is a 7-day training course, aiming to contribute to the personal and social development of youngsters and youth workers, raising awareness on social inclusion and analysis on social exclusion at European level. On the other hand, the project aims to promote and disseminate technical and educational practices in the field of youth activities, cartoon making and video making tools. The participants will have the chance to work in an intercultural atmosphere and learn different languages. Cartoon Mill is a non-formal education-based training course. Team building, experiential learning, simulations, drama tools, games, cartoon making techniques, character design, storytelling, shooting and postproduction, intercultural nights, city visits and more elements will be used in this course.
DATE – VENUE: The training course will be held in Kaş Antalya, TURKEY from 18th – 26th of June 2018. Kaş Antalya is the one of the most popular tourism centers in Turkey. We will stay at The Cartoon Mill School. Please keep in mind that if you are looking for high quality comfortable accommodation maybe this project is not able to fit your needs. But we can guarantee that the location is very inspiring. The school was transformed from an abandoned old village school and all other buildings and materials are made by volunteers around the world. PARTICIPANT PROFILE: The training course is aimed at young people who have experience or motivation at cartoon making and youth work, who speak English and are motivated enough to work in an international atmosphere. There is no age limit. Participants will be required to bring some basic video shooting, editing and drawing materials with them. Participating countries: Spain, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania and Turkey. Selected participants must buy travel tickets before deadline. The ones who don’t make the travel booking deadline will be replaced with other applicants. Volunteers of Cartoon Mill from Russia, Taiwan and Turkey will take part in activities. FINANCIAL ASPECTS: Food, accommodation and visa costs are fully covered by the programme. Travel costs will be covered 100% up to limits below. If costs exceed the limit, the participant will be responsible for covering the extra amount. The reimbursements will be paid during the last day of the course according to amount on travel invoices. Participation fee: 30€ to be subtracted from the final calculation of travel reimbursements – only if your travel reimbursement is not at least 30€ below the limit.
